Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about PWTray.
PWTray is a desktop app that opens with a global shortcut you can customize, searches your Bitwarden vault, and copies username, password, or 2FA code in any app.

Bitwarden is supported today. Additional password managers will be added over time.
On first setup, you create a Bitwarden API key and connect your vault. After that, each app relaunch requires one master-password unlock, then PWTray fetches credentials on demand.
No. You create the API key once during setup. On later launches, you just unlock Bitwarden with your master password and continue.
PWTray never stores your passwords. It acts as a bridge between you and your vault. All communication happens locally through your password manager's official CLI/API.
